A Song From Before

After six hours of driving between Stockholm and Uppsala, Phil Collins' voice is strangled by a car key. Ida is twenty years old and studying at a writers' school. One afternoon she meets the rastafarian man Isaac who only love in life is pussy. A meeting that came to change the coming seconds, minutes and hours of her life. Whether it was lack of integrity or common sense that ruled, she let herself be persuaded into picking up a car at The Central Station and return the next day. A seemingly simple task but an unpredictable journey have just begun.

Maybe it’s __ or __ , it doesn’t matter. What matters is what takes you there. Playing it safe is not playing at all. Taking risks is what takes you places.

But risk comes with our biggest fear. If there’s one thing that stops you from moving forward, it's the fear of failure. It’s the biggest mind fuck you’ll ever encounter in life. When you overcome it, you can overcome anything

So when the opportunity appears, grab it. Follow your gut feeling. It’s the most fearless thing you’ll ever own.

If the act of failing scares you, tell it to back off. And so what if you fail. Everyone fails. The question is, what would you do if you weren’t afraid of it?"

Every year Berghs School of Communication holds a final exhibition for the graduating students. The Student Agency consists of 14 handpicked students, Stephanie being one of them this year. Our mission was to find something in the subject of courageous communication that was worth talking about. As a communication school we find it extremely important to constantly challenge the way we communicate. But there is never a challenge if there isn't something to win or lose. Overcoming the fear of failure war our risk this year. We followed our gut feeling to get rid of the biggest creativity blocker ever.

We asked artists, designers, copywriters, innovators and entrepreneurs that have influenced us to answer the question of how the fear of failure have affected them in life. One simple question, 12 mind-blowing answers. The results and feedback was both great and surprising. With inspirational clips from some of the greatest names in the industry, the campaign was picked up by Creativity Online, Brainpicking and Creative Review amongst others and visits from 150 countries, 160.000 plays and 1.4M plays.

City Harvest is a New York based organization that collects and delivers excess food to people in need. Our brief was to highlight City Harvest as the connection between high quality food that would otherwise go to waste and the more than 1 million New Yorkers who access emergency food each week. What if their opinions were the only ones that actually counted? We created a food competition between the collaborating restaurants. Through the campaign, people can donate a seat in the jury to the less fortunate. There are 1.5 million people in New York that haven't been heard. With The Real Jury, we're giving them a voice.

E.ON needed help with leading the biggest energy revolution in a generation. Their ambition is to emotionally connect with generation "Y" through simple and unique solutions to decrease energy consumption. But for generation "Y", this usually means cutting down on energy usage. Is there some way we could prevent that from happening while at the same time decrease the amount of electricity we use? We created Focus, an energy-efficient web browser. Focus lets you surf greener, increases your battery time and lets you spend your saved money in the E.ON shop where you can buy energy-efficient products for your entire home. Which leads to even lower energy bills and a positive attitude towards E.ON. The first energy company to actually adapt to your behavior instead of fighting it.

The Swedish ad agency Volontaire held a summer course where they handed out assignments for us to solve in 10 days. Our mission was to make people talk about the geriatric living situation in Stockholm. Our solution was to create a whole new way of living using the 30% of unused space in the central of Stockholm. The water.

The result?

Our work was featured in the president of the resident's association blog and we also got a positive response from a member of the Green Party. Two real-estate concerns have also expressed interest in building apartment ships for students in Malmö and Stockholm. Great success!
